Off to The Coupe

This morning on an early start, a good friend and I decided to try a new place. The Coupe which sits at the corner of 11th and Monroe in dc. A great place tucked away that offers great brunch from 6am to 6pm. Definitely a must try for something new and a great breakfast.

Hi all... So in the midst of planning a big even for this weekend I have been going over a number of things I need to do. A lot of dishes for this weekend includes tons of fresh fruit and vegetables, which I happen to love. One thing that has rattled my brain is when to buy these items, where to buy this fruit and vegetables, and how I can stop it from going bad and getting the freshest product possible. So I was able to do a little research on which fruits and veggies have the best and worst self life, places to by, and how to keep these items fresh. I definitely have to share with you all...

Chocolate Transfer...

So Saturday I went to the cake supply store looking for a new project to get into. I have a cake competition coming up in March, so practice makes perfect. I decided to try chocolate transfer for the first time, and it came out better than I thought. Just a simple technique of transferring the colored cocoa butter side to chocolate for a simple yet elegant design. I decided to put them on a chocolate dessert (next post) that was small yet needed some flare...

Here is how they came out...
